I bought this lens on a whim when I got a deal flyer from B&H offering a great price.
I already own a Sigma 150-500 DG OS that I bought here several years ago from a member. I was very happy with that lens and how it performed, and I still am.
I am also very happy with the new lens and very appreciative of the extra 100mm focal length.
I am trying to learn how to use this lens with a Canon 1DMK3 that I bought here on the board at the same time I bought the lens. I haven't so much as read anything in the manuals for either the lens and the camera. I merely put the lens on my new used camera and commenced.
None of these photos in the review are especially good but they do show what this lens can produce. When you consider they were all shot handheld in 20 degree temperatures with 25 mph winds I think they turned out pretty well. The nuthatch just about had it's feathers blown off but the picture turned out well.
