Should be no different to normal AD200 use except for the LEDs, use them a lot then you will get less flashes

Had a shoot today and almost total disaster. Started off with AD200. Before the model shows up, did some quick testing, f5.6 at my working distance for 1/2 power, not bad. Bumped to > sync speed and that nasty bar at the bottom. Tried different settings, no help. The AD200 screen is really bad outside. I am at that point scrxx AD200 and went back to my trusty AD600. Model shows in mean time. Did some quick shots and same issue. The AD600 won't stay in HSS mode and even when in HSS mode, shot will have bar due to sync speed issues. Shot for a while in < 1/200. Then all of sudden I see this N being displayed on the AD600 screen (thanks to that nicely lit screen BTW, AD200 screen is totally worthless in that regard). I press some button on the AD600 and it changes back to C. Something dawned on me and I look at my Tx and guess what, it is Nikon version. And I did a shoot with it about a month back but at the time, it was later in the evening and no need for > 1/200. Went back to car, got my C version and no issues after that, except wind gods did their best to knock down my heavy duty stand and softbox. Luckily nothing damaged. Having back button focus can be pain when shooting single handedly.

The light wise not bad, hope to use it next time. It would make perfect bg, or hair light. Even can work as a main for lot of situations. Just wish the display was brighter. Maybe there is a setting. And that HSS mode button seems to also turn on the modeling light. On my AD600, HSS is a separate button.

HSS should automatically kick in w/ the trigger. Does on mine at least. You were using canon right

Battery life normally will double if you use them in sequence.

Ok - for all you people who love your AD200 - now you need to show it that ❤️

To be available in 6 different colors.

I'm not worried about the bumps or scrapes but the fact it covers the front area and protects the buttons is great. Now you can set it on a table face up without changing settings.

For this though I'll wait till they are in eBay for cheaper.

Yeh, mine has never overheated. But boy has it gotten warm I would think that would do nothing but make it worse.

Ya good point. I haven't even broken mine in yet. I'm just a dad so I'm not very demanding which is why these lights are perfect for me when mated to the dual bracket
