I'm looking forward to planting the seeds from my flowering green onions.

Wow, I certainly don't mean to take over this thread...but...

I finally got everything in not to restore my dad's old grill but to make it functional again now and for many years into the future. The grill now sports new stainless steel grates, a new fire box to replace the rusted out one, new legs, wheels, and axle. The wood shelves were replaced some time ago.

I'm undecided whether or not to repaint it but at this point, I'm leaning towards not doing that. I want to keep that old feel to it as long as I can. If I see areas beginning to rust too badly, then I'll probably go ahead and repaint it.

I just may throw a steak on it today and take it for a 'test run'.

OK,

My new, bigger griddle

I've replaced my tabletop griddle with a bit larger one. This one has three burners instead of one and the griddle is porcelain enamel coated instead of uncoated carbon steel.

The new griddle is 23.6”L x 13.4”W with 316 sq.. in. of cooking surface and the old one was 17"L x 15.25"W with 260 sq.. in. of cooking surface.

I also love the cart I got for it. It has a stainless steel top, a spice rack and paper towel holder as well as storage space inside the cabinet.

Seeds from the flower of one of my green onions. To complete the cycle, I'll have to take a photo of the seeds after I plant them and they begin a new life as a green onion.

Scene at a potluck garden party, shot early enough to avoid the crowd around the tables. So much of the image is nonfood that I put it in this thread.

I had a chance to play with my new wide angle macro lens for a few minutes. This was taken using ambient light with the camera mounted on a tabletop tripod. The settings were f22 @ 1.6 sec and iso 200.

You won't have to buy another onion for the rest of the year.
