Insects and spider macro is starting to get good, as they have reached full maturity. My favorites are these jumping spiders and crab spiders.

Best time of year has arrived (late Aug - Dec) for photography here in the Northern Hemisphere.

Is there anyone here using a Tokina 11-20 f/2.8 for UWA purposes?

Canon is really missing a high quality UWA constant aperture zoom..... I dont want to spend $3500 CDN for a Canon 11-24mm red ring which is a slow f/4 :P

I use it, but mostly for night time shots. I like it.

yes they are great .. but I agree with alanU .. no constant aperture uwa zooms is a bummer..
I've been wanting one for the 80d for video poruses
I have the 10-18 which is only a f4.5 at its widest..
the 10-22 is a bit better but still only a 3.5 and again only at its widest .

I've been considering the 16-35 just so I can have premium glass and a constant f4(although i'd prefer f2.8)

I was considering the tokina 11-16 f2.8 .. under $500 and supposedly a pretty sharp lens

Why not a fixed focal length uwa?

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

I do like the fact that Tokina 11-20 or 11-16 is a constant f/2.8. However the bokeh on those lenses is extremely contrasty/busy and not pleasant compared to other lenses on the market. I've considered the 11-16 because it's been on the market much longer and the used prices is extremely affordable. The 11-20 is more logical though as the tele end is more usable.

I own the 10-22 and it's a great UWA but it's still variable aperture. Canon still does not support the EF-S line in having a constant aperture UWA. Another thing I'm really saddened is no 24mm FOV fast prime.

I've actually been using my 16-35 f/2.8mk2 as a video lens for my 80D. It actually isn't all that bad.

Um, EF-S 24mm f/2.8 pancake. Very sharp lens.
