I've just ordered the Canon 80D with a EF-S 15-85mm zoom as a travel kit. Does anyone have the lens and if so what do you think of it?

It is a TS-31. The first I heard of it, the reviewer used felt inside the collar since it is a little large.

I have it and it's pretty darn nice.

You won't be disappointed.

I want to die peacefully, in my sleep, like my grandfather.
Not screaming, terrified, like his passengers.

I have the 15-85 and I think it great. For me it's the perfect walk around lens.

Yeah I agree but the 18-135 Nano is maybe just as good with a little more flexibility. I have the STM copy but hear even better things of the Nano version of the 18-135.

I don't think there is a right or wrong here. When I bought the 15-85 I wanted something that was wider and longer than the 18-55 kit lens to help reduce lens swapping. It was the only option I found. The extra 3mm on the wide end makes a huge difference without confining you to UWA territory. YMMV of course.

Nope. No right or wrong.

I love my 15-85 but do find more flexibility with the 18-135 with very little, if any, difference in IQ.
