That boardwalk looks like the sidewalk feels after a little too much rum. :-)

Nice shot.

We had some board walks here on the local walking trail but they have mostly been replaced by gravel. Too much maintenance required I guess.

This one runs on top of the spruce bog and crosses the river so its very much a wet buggy area Rod. It runs a long way.. Everything on four legs like to use it too

That looks like a good place for a walk. Even more so in a few weeks when most of the bugs are gone.

I won't be out much this weekend..... Irma has my undivided attention. ;)

Actually, though it's a bit early to know for sure, it looks like it's tracking to our East. We'll get 95 MPH winds, most likely....and about 2 feet of rain.

It would have been much worse for us if it hugged the Gulf coast like first predicted.

Time will tell.

Kim, I'm right with you, here in Jacksonville. Take care.

Stay safe. It looks like the worst winds will be off shore..... but still not good.

Be well..... and safe, Ira.

Here is the boardwalk I was talking about. It is part of the Creole Nature Trail walk and is over the marsh in Cameron Parish. Please excuse the old crappy 40D photo. If I was doing it again, I would close down the F/stop and get a better depth of field but I didn't know any better back then.

See, this looks like home to me. Erase the bridge and toss in 100 pounds of live mosquitoes and I see a fishing spot.

With a phone eh. At the posted resolution I'm starting to wonder if I made the right choice with the 7D2 ;-)a
