Don,

A very striking image. It could be a blast-ended screwt. :)

Cheers,

Hi Roger,

I'll take that as a compliment... I guess. :)

Here's a side view...

Don,

Excellent, both of them, but I like the 2nd one better for it doesn't look so cramped, if you don't mind. :D

BTW, do you know what that pointy thingy does?

maybe the pointy thing is a model of the space needle that the caterpillar is taking to 'show and tell'.

DON

Yup a big compliment .. to complement those complementary colours.

But, I never liked these squissey-squassey things.. the Mantis has more character.

Caught in the Act

Thanks, guys,

Griffin -- you can like whichever one you want. :) I took several shots and posted the first one before I converted and processed the second one. I do like the way the caterpillar's shape roughly matches the contour of the green leaf behind it in the second shot.

Sweepiedog -- it's a shortwave antenna so he can pick up Irish folk music.

Howie -- wait around awhile and the squishy thing takes flight.

Cheers,

Don

Here's a picture from when we first met...
