So pleased to have found this thread - I love trying to capture the amazing scenery below when I'm flying, although clouds, haze, dust storms and dirty windows do their best to ruin my attempts!

I can't match the quality I've seen in this thread, but hope someone might find my Australian landscapes interesting. This one was taken SE of Alice Springs, just before the start of the Simpson Desert.

Cheers

Alec

Thanks - I've flown this route several times, but cannot recall previously seeing this particular landform. It seems to be limited to an area not much larger than captured in the photo.

Early morning shot of the Liddell power station. Currently in Oz news because our government wants it to keep operating, while the owners are planning to close it.

Like flying in a goldfish bowl!

View From the Ball Turret
My view from the ball turret of the CAF Capital Wing's TBM Avenger "Doris Mae." The bullet proof glass, as well as the turret glazing was filthy when I snapped this photo. From now on, I'll be keeping it spotless, which isn't going to be easy because reaching most of it requires some interesting contortions within very tight confines.
