Well that is quite a journey. Not sure it's really all that fascinating. My wife and I are craft beer enthusiasts and being here in Colorado there is an abundance of breweries. Visiting breweries, large, small, and nano became a great "date night" for us. Stop in a local brewery and ordering a taster flight is great fun for us.

Christmas about four years ago my wife bought me a home brew kit. A little all-in-the-box kit with instructions, all the ingredients and a 5 gallon carboy. Followed the directions and about four weeks later I had a nice little stout in about 48 bottles. Well, naturally, having brewed an easy kit, I was then an expert and started designing my own recipes. LOL. I now have 6 carboys and my process can become a little time consuming with primary and secondary fermentations, dry-hopping, etc.

Four years later I still do partial grain and extract brewing, have my standard recipes and brew about 20 beers a year, 10 in the Spring and 10 in the Fall. I host two beer tasting parties Summer and Winter where we invite friends and family to come and taste, serve great food and it's been great fun.

The only book I purchased was How to Brew (external link). Everything was either researched on-line or trial and error. The only issue I have had is I have had a few brews not carbonate when bottled. For me, it's been a fun hobby.

Was a lot of fun....from what I can remember. It was during the 'Cider Dayze' festival.

My neighbor showed me his Pabst Blue Ribbon beer in bottles today. I didn't even know they were sold that way. These all had a different theme on each bottle.

That's excellent. I love the strong colors and depth.

Only nitpick would be that the glass is slanted a bit and I think it is a German style weizenbier glass, Peroni is typically served from a straighter and smaller 0.4 liter glass :) :)
