It was a silent August, and suddenly an explosion of bird life. A veritable Birding Bonanza! This is my first migration as a bird photographer, and I'm in awe of just how much activity there is. Not just from birds, but in the macro arena as well (lots of spiders and mantis, wasps, etc). It's going to be sad when it all comes to a close, so I've been out shooting a ton the past few days.
One day I went out with the 80D + 100-400II + 1.4xIII, and the others have been the 5D4 + 500 f/4 II + 1.4xIII. The 80D setup is superb in good light, and it's a joy to carry compared to the Beasty 500, but when light gets low the 5D4 is the tool of choice.
I really want to get a better shot of the Canada Warbler, very jittery!
