Well, my Batis 85mm is priced to sell on FM right now...hope to get that sold this week.

Nice. What's next? Voightlander APO 65mm? :-)

Ok, I think this will help. These are unedited source files (except for my default sharpening). The key is to level your tripod before shooting.

Nice!

I still have my RRS gimbal head, which can do the exact same thing, but it's cumbersome. I like the sleekness of the FLM head.

Yes, I think so. Will put the FE 55mm 1.8 up for sale as well. It's a bit risky, as it's my only small AF lens, but I'm feeling good about it.

Main reason for going CV 65 vs Loxia 85 is spacing...it's right smack in between 35mm and 100mm (100-400mm), but I'm not 100% decided, because the L85 is just awesome as you've proven. The 100-400 is great, but it's a different animal in rendering...I'm seeing similar hues and tonal depictions as with the FE 24-70 and 70-200 GM lenses...much smoother/less microcontrast.

That CV lens looks amazing and would fit nicely in your lens lineup. The Loxia 85 is great too so it's not an easy choice to make.

This is looking down Peachtree St. in Lenox Square in Atlanta. 2 shot vertical pano with the Batis 18mm captured at blue hour. Yeah that sign on the bottom is annoying. It would be a tricky job to clone it out.

Edit: I corrected the color space issue I was experiencing from my original post.

....

.......

You should use the gamut proofing feature of photoshop before converting. Personally, if I have really saturated color in an image I'll turn on gamut proofing to make sure all of the colors are going to be within the desired color gamut to avoid color shifts. If anything is out of gamut I will selectively desaturate just the out of gamut areas until the warnings are gone. This prevents any undesired color shifting during colorspace changes.

Excellent! Thank you. I will experiment with that.

A few shots from yesterday. I've finally given up entirely on getting decent color from my files in Lr, and am trying to trudge my way through C1, after two other false starts over the past few years. What an aggravation. As much as I dislike adding extra complexity to my workflow, I feel like all the aggravations and extra time of bouncing around in C1 are negated by the extra time spent in Lr sorting out my colors.

I think this is the link. It's for "view only". Not sure if that will work. I think I have to enter someone's email if they want access for editing purposes.

I don't know if anyone else has edited your image for you yet but here's mine. I didn't replace all the lines on the ground as I didn't think I could give them the proper diminishing size they would need. Hopefully, this will work for you or that someone else can do this edit for you.

Here's my edit:

Thanks so much Gene...Very nice of you to help me with that one! While it's not an epic shot I do like the image just for fun and memories. The de-cluttered is much more enjoyable. Thanks man! I'll buy you a cold one next time your in Boise!

Mine is on all the time but the FM thread showed it's best to turn off at 1/1000 or faster

Glad you like the edit and the offer of a 'cold one' sounds great. The last time I was in your area was probably 30 years ago when my sister lived in Caldwell.
