My son and I on the flight deck of the "Mighty Hunter" at the 2004 RAF Waddington airshow. My friend was doing his conversion course to the E3 at the time, after spending over 20 years on the Nimrod fleet at RAF Kinloss. We met up with him for a look round, and he suggested the Nimrod as he might know someone on the crew, and so blag us a look round. Actually he knew all of them, having been best man to two of them so we got the full tour. Since he had been working in the morning he was still in uniform, and we were then on the "live" side of the ground displays, so we were able to blag our way onto quite a number of aircraft. Unfortunately at the time I was without a camera, so no other photos. The only problem was we didn't really see much of the flying display. Still we got to look around enough aircraft to make it worth while.
