Saw a similiar image on 500px a while back.

Tried my own version.

Nice.

I'd sand the roug edges on the cutting board cuts.
That's the second thing my eye was drawn to.

A clever idea, but the illusion will work better if the cut edges of the carrot align with the cut lines on the board.

As you invite corrections to your English, here goes: "didn't notice it until it was too late, though."

The carrot was cut exactly after the cutting board, but it felt like rolling around a little for every adjustment/shot.
Next time I'll glue it in place before cutting ;)
