Friends. The pathetic service of Canon forcing to chnage brand loyalty. It started as :
During recent times Canon shifted its service staffs from From Delhi to Noida. Therefore, getting servicing or minor repair takes more time as body travels to Noida and back. Leave the maintenance staffs, based on my recent experience, even the attitude and behaviour of front desk staffs have changed.
In July I put a Mark II for sale but found some issue in mirror as inspected with Bharat Ji. I went to Canon centre for repair and trauma started from there. The earlier known staffs are also unavailable as they go to Noida. On the mercy of front desk staffs, there is no much discussion of Camera repair while depositing it.
Now that I have deposited the body they took more than 75 days but camera is still under repair. They have single phone and single email ID. NO escalation. No follow up.
Tried to contact customer care multiple times (>50 emails) and finally today they said it is repaired and can be picked on 3rd October. Not to mention they escalated the repair cost > 20 times.
I always wonder people switching to Nikon, Fuji etc. Let it be the size and the image quality but I feel the after sales is most valuable reason to switch the brand. eventually, I will put up my gears for sell as it will be bad idea to upgrade Mark IV. And yes Nikon D850 is already generations ahead as reviewed.
It hurts to be apart of Canon.
Feeling so bad how some lazy junk brains in service department are ruining the brand.
