Some years ago I was working in my yard and I heard some planes coming but the sound was very clearly not the usual sound of a modern screw driven plane. I started looking around and here is a B-17 and a P-51. Looked like they were moving along at about 60 miles an hour, which, of course, they weren't. But it was quite a sight, and sound.

If anyone has heard the RAF's Tucano in service today - it sounds incredibly like a Spitfire

If it weren't for all of the death and destruction wars would actually be pretty sweet to watch. Just to see all of that machinery in action.
