My sig doesn't blend in too well when viewed at 100% and toggled on and off but at the resolution the full image is, it's 'close enough'. The fun part was to cover the word on the coin I wanted to replace and then add an outer glow to match the brown stains. Then I used the dodge tool to emphasize the highligted areas a bit more too.

Hey Vinz...since you have that light meter, do you mind measuring the power loss on the xplor 600 with the extension and one with the bulb attached directly to the strobe? I'm curious to see what the power loss is.

Pulling the trigger on these two items gotox controller and TT350....anyone confirm the controller works with Sony flashes... they have an A9 deal going that has a free $500 buck Sony flash with it just hoping I can get them to talk

As promised when the RX10iv got here a family portrait using the RX10iv.
And you can see why I need to study all the product photography posts you
guys (GENE) has made. Did use the Godox off camera and no doubt with side it
was on (flash sitting on the cat tower).

Thanks. I think you mean "how long does it take..."? Sometimes it doesn't take long at all, maybe a couple of minutes, sometimes it takes much, much longer. Once I get an idea where I think I can blend it into an image, I sometimes search for a font that will work. Then I have to play with applying the bevel/emboss effect and play with that for the right depth/height and light/darks. I also play with fill opacity too. Sometimes I use the warp tool found under the text tool tab to bend the sig to fit a curved surface. Of course, then I usually have to size and rotate my sig and then rasterize so I can apply some perspective transformation to it.

Regardless of how long it takes, I enjoy the challenge and it's always heartening when I read that others enjoy trying to find it too.

This edit of the white balance looks much better MM. I'd add just a bit more contrast just to give the scene a bit more pop.

Good news (thanks Vinz), found my Nik plugins in CC2017, copied, found the plugins folder for cc2018, pasted=works!

Now what about Lightroom, hardly use it but should I update it???

After our hike to the last waterfall we went up to the cabin. The spot this photo was taken is roughly where I've shot the Milky Way.
I used Smooth Reflections app which is probably obvious.

The SR app blurred the trees upper right. The wind was cranking that day.
Would it be feasible to have shot a single shot freezing the trees then using
a layer mask to 'pain't them in non-blurred ??

ok i'll do it in the morning.

Oddly enough, when I just installed the latest version of Photoshop CC and copied the plugins from the 2017 plugins folder to the 2018 folder, Photoshop wouldn't load and I kept getting error messages. So, I deleted the plugins I had just copied there and copied the plugins from my older 2015 plugins folder and pasted them to the 2018 plugins folder. Now Photoshop loads again and all the plugins are available.

Apparently, there was a file in the 2017 plugins folder of mine that was causing an issue in the 2018 folder. I don't know if my issue is unique to my configuration or if anyone else has had the same problem so I thought I'd mention it here.
