Thanks John, i was pleased to get both breeds in one shot.

I prefer to be in the bush with the animals than a crowded city.

Thanks Doc. Wow you have a lot of great shots on your flickr page. I have to take some time and go through them!

Thanks for the nice comment Ed. I’ve been neglecting that flickr page. Need to get busy and do some updating.

A few garden visitors from today, in a tree after the apples, I had to shoot through a window as they were very close and opening a window would have scared them away.

Out and about on my Country lane walks today I saw this little Coal tit sitting on the gate post. A robin attempted to chase it away but the much smaller coal tit stood his ground. As I approached it was the robin that flew off and this brave little one did not move. I got within 3 metres of him and so I decided to let him have his day by taking an alternate path.

I took this hand held which is unusual for me as I usually walk around with a monopod.

I see lots of buzzards on my country walks. Often they are soaring high but I never get a chance to get close to them. They are very aware of people and are spooked easily. I came off the path to enter a field and then I saw the buzzard on the fence post. I slowly back off so not to scare him off and managed to get the chance to get a few shots. This is most definitely my best buzzard capture.

Superb, I agree they are not very often seen sitting, I have only ever seen the one like yourself on a post.
