Videographer persistent lights are annoying, but I've learned to try to use them creatively when I can.

try to check for chrome's color extension or plugins.

I don’t know what this means. Also I tried Firefox, Microsoft Edge, and Safari (PC), and they all look the same (much different than Photoshop or LR).

DTBaan wrote in post #18489649 (external link)
did you recently reinstall os or ps?

see if you have it save as rgb instead of adobe. rgb should be checked. that seems to work for me.

I always convert to sRGB when outputting to web. Also, images look more saturated on the web than they do in Photoshop. I’m puzzled.

David, the shot you posted there looks good to me in terms of colour but not being able to see the other version might mean I’m missing something (i appreciate you cant post both versions). One thing worth checking is the “proof” view function in photoshop. It’s been a while since I’ve used it so my memory of the finer details is lacking but I used it previously to see what the output would look like of my printer shops printer profile. From memory you should be able to select proof view for srgb and view how it looks within photoshop. If a change is noticed then you know the issue is with the srgb profile/conversion.

im reading this.
https://www.photo.net ...ed-compared-to-lr.513786/ (external link)

and it pointed me to this
https://www.photo.net/photo/13298873 (external link)

"p>Hi Peter,</p>
<p>I'm really impressed by your superb night shots and it's a blessing for me to read your detailed descriptions of your technique. I have never tried to shoot star-trails but it's something I'm very interested in experimenting with when I'll have an opportunity. I just recently read that for long time exposures Velvia 50 wasn't adequate because of the reciprocity failure and that Velvia 100F or Provia 100 were the better Fuji film; I have some Velvia 100 (no "F") in stock, have you made some experience with it? I also want to thank you for answer and explanation on your picture "Chives, version 2" which was also very instructive for me, another thing I'll keep in mind, but I have no experience at all with studio shots.</p>
<p>
<p>Regarding your saturation issue between the web and PS:</p>
<p>it seems that you are using Chrome as web-browser which doesn't have color management as Safari or Firefox does and this might be the reason for your issue. I have found a <a href="http://www.binaryturf.com/enable-color-management-google-chrome/">link</a> explaining how to turn on color management within Chrome, but I'm not sure how good it works. If you try it out, you can test if the color management works with <a href="http://www.gballard.net/psd/go_live_page_profile/embeddedJPEGprofiles.html">this test page</a>. But this test will only tell you if your browser takes the color profile embedded in the pictures into account you can't test there if your browser takes the color profile of your monitor into account. For instance Firefox (which I'm using) doesn't support V4 color profiles and my calibration software produces V4 profiles I had wrong colors in Firefox even if the tests on the second link I provided told me everything worked fine. (I'm converting my profiles from V4 to V2 now for Firefox) Basically as long as you can see a difference between PS and your web browser it means that the color management of the web browser doesn't work properly. One advantage of Firefox is that you can force it to consider sRGB color profile for pictures that are not tagged. I hope this helps.</p>
<p>Kind regards,</p>
<p>Jan</p>
<p> </p>"

i dont get all these though. but the above seems like a browser fix. im wondering why it worked before and why not now. since you said all other pc, mac, has problems. sorry its late and i cant look in it too deep. gotta sleep

good luck

David, I'm at work...hospital monitors not the greatest...but the colors here look fine. The 'fall' colors are a bit muted like they are up here but they look natural.

Lately my colors are all screwed up and I can't figure out what's gone wrong.

I calibrate my monitor with i1 Display Pro. Colors in LR and Photoshop look fine. I always convert to sRGB before saving to web (jpeg). The colors look completely different in Chrome on my PC and Safari on the iPad (iPad always looks better than my PC). Colors appear shifted. The blue sky below looks blue in Photoshop, but shifted to cyan in Chrome.

What am I doing wrong? I don't recall having this issue until the last month or two.

David, I don't know if this helps or not but opening your posted image in PS, I added a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer above it and then grabbing the color picker, clicked in many spots in the sky. The selected color was always blue and no cyan appeared.

I saved your image to my computer while viewing it in my Chrome browser and the colors look fine to me.

Thanks guys! More often than not, those lights are ruining things for me...especially when they don't color correct them! But they're never going away so might as well make use of them.

i like both so here it is. another from the A6000+kit lens

Vinz, please don't take this wrong...something about the editing on the color version, the color toning does not flatter them...they feel kinda cold and lifeless...the pose looks like he is choking her too...

thanks for your feedback but i really like cinematic color grading when i have moody lighting.

regarding the hand. exactly the same feedback i got from my wife. luckily they're both smiling and looking in-love so it helps a bit.

thanks...Amber is my favorite (I don’t model) model! She is always a trooper! The water was most likely mid to high 40’s, but we both barreled in. My wife was ready with towels on the bank.

I am loving the A9 and really loving the A9 / A7r2 combo. I ended up pulling out the 55mm more than ever and really loved having the 10mm and 21 on each body switching back and forth when needed.... letting the A7r2 sit on the tripod getting the detail and letting the A9 use its great ISO depth to be handheld. Feeling better about the kit although the 90 macro is now sitting in the bag a lot not sure but maybe I need to dump it.
