Dear Board,

Yesterday I received a Kodak Retina 11a that I bought from that on-line auction house.

The camera was advertised as being in working order and included a case in excellent condition along with a Kodak yellow filter in a neat slip case attached to the strap on the case. A check of shutter speeds and apertures shows that everything seems to change to the selected value so it has been loaded with a roll of film and we will see what develops?

Regards,

Tim Murphy

Dear Board,

OOPS, I did it again. I actually bought this Retina 111c from that auction site before I bought the 11a above, but it shipped from much farther away so it took an extra day to arrive. Again, it was advertised as in good working order, and I can happily report that all indications show that it is. The light meter is even spot on with my Luna-Lux SBC, every camera I compared it with, my I phone Light Meter app, and not to be outdone, my Weston Master 11.

Regards,

Tim Murphy

Wow. I have two Retina cameras, I haven't used them in many decades. When I did use the one that was my dad's (the bottom one) it was razor-sharp and worked very well. The top one I bought more recently but haven't used it.

Dear Joe,

Blame that on that darn Iphone 5S. The lens is pretty sharp!

^ Ha, that's great. I see digital P&S cameras at the Salvation Army all the time. I usually have to relocate them to get to the film cameras behind/underneath. Ha.
In fact, there's always something interesting. Last time there were two disposable cameras in the bin - both were half shot already. Lol.
