I was in Alaska for a few months this summer and got to hike to this place. I don't have a tripod so this is handheld using one of the river rocks as a base. Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Very nice

Way to go marking it work without a tripod

The only thing Id critique would be maybe at the time if there was a way to fish some of those random little branches out of the water youd have a cleaner look but Im sure that would have been a crazy amout of work

I think those random little branches might be joined together somewhere with that random big tree. ;-)a

Comment and (constructive) criticism always welcome.

Im not saying it would be easy Im just saying it would clean up the pic. If you want a clean picture rent a backhoe and get it done! Im not playing around here!

Lol yea that wouldn't have been possible in this case as I didn't have any gear to clear branches. I'll look into renting some heavy equipment for my next hike when I get back there in the spring :-D
Thanks for the positive feedback, I usually shoot portraits so I wasn't sure if this was a decent shot or not by potn standards ha

This photo works well for me as it is. This is the natural environment of this place. Great result with use 1/3 shutter speed. There is dynamic with this stream of flowing water. Great photo, very well done and composed.
