Fine and natural expression on face. Good eyes contact. This is an excellent portrait work, very well done and composed. I like these monochromatic tones. Good use of light.

This street scene with this walking girl is great captured here. Vertical composition works well here. Beside position of this walking girl here in this frame helps for a good composition. Great photo and portrait.

Wonderful capture of this scene with this sitting woman on this bench. This is an excellent photo, very well done and composed. Besides pose of this sitting woman is very well photographed here.

Hey Gene, I think you're in the money. Based on the moon rising north of that line, it's simply a matter of timing.

If you can see planes in your area, it can work. The advantage of the moon overhead is that you can kind of chase the moon if you have an open field. You have many more opportunities, on top of that, you get to shoot a peak moon brightness = low iso.

downside is that the moon will rise at 9:30p today and even less volume than yesterday, so optimum shooting time might not happen till 3-4 hours after the moon rises. Another downside is that after 10pm, I think the volume at LAX dies down, so you may not get a plane every 5 minutes. it may be 10-15 instead, which reduces your chances dramatically.

so basically, set your calendar to November 28, the new window of opportunity for you (get an app for sunrise/sunset/moonrise/moonset, it's real handy). It doesnt have to be night time either, a daytime moon shot would work great I imagine.

Thanks for the suggestions Charlie. But with my eyesight, I can't even see the navigation lights on the aircraft at night until I enlarge an image and discover it.

Both of poses are great and well captured. I like this light and these details. Very good sharpness. Great photos.

I’m not aware of any petitions that have worked so far so unfortunately won’t be holding my breath for this change but would love Sony to listen. Not sure a poll on a rumours site is going to get them to make any change though

But you certainly have a greater variety of birds to shoot. I've actually had better luck photographing birds when the sky is overcast since most of my shots are of birds on a perch of some kind. In flight, yep, clear skies would be ideal I think.

Have you thought about removing that small twig next to the bird in this shot MM?

that1cameraguy did make a stink about the overheating, and sony was quick to issue a fix for that. Maybe a stink about the playmemories is in order.

Stareater IS known by sony for sure. I've chatted with support, and mentioned "stareater". They knew exactly what it was and addressed me immediately regarding the issue (working on it).

Hope may be small, but there is some hope, and sony has been issuing firmware updates, just not as frequently as I'de like

I’m totally on board and will sign up to them all, I’m just feeling more pessimistic about it than optimistic. Here’s hoping though.

a couple of months before the announcement of the R3, an artisan in facebook sony alpha group posted asking people of suggestions of possible improvements for the next A7R. He said he's going to meet Sony Engineers and would like to extend the suggestions. After 5 days, he posted a few pics of the meeting. He's legit. Base on the suggestions by many and what the specs now of the A7R3, it looks like Sony listens. It's just that nobody expects Sony will remove the apps from the R3. Maybe peps thought it's only on A9. So the playmemories apps were not in the suggestions.
