Debating on getting the Li-Ion version of the TT685 or the AA version. I have sooo many eneloops but I know nothing beats the recycle time of the Li-Ion.

I was in the same camp, went with one TT685 and two TT600s... I didn't even need 3 TTL speedlights, hence the TT600s (hard to argue with $65 each). I don't shoot events, so I am not firing off that many pops and with the amount of eneloops I have, it was hard to justify the extra cost... I am going to save up and invest in a pair of AD200s at some point...

good logic since you do not shoot remote flash for events.

I use a mix of eneloops and amazon basic batteries. Amazon black basic AA batteries puts my eneloops to shame.

Fighting sunlight I think 600 Watt seconds is nice juice. I guess the HSS systems can get away with less power to some extent for fill flash. AD200 seems low at 200 Watt seconds......

Everyone has different applications in flash photography.

So I just got my new TT350f to replace the one I lost and now I'm having the same issue I had with the first one (which I eventually solved, but can't remember how).

I'm trying to use the TT350f as a commander for my TT685f without having it fire. I have both set to TTL, the 350 set to (M) and the 685f set to slave (A) and both in TTL mode... yet when I fire off a shot the 685 automatically changes itself to Manual mode instead of remaining in TTL.

Does anyone know how to fix this setting? I fixed it last time completely by accident and unfortunately never knew how I did it

I believe you set the tt350 in M for master mode then cycle the flash to off(lighting bolt with the strike thru it).

You'll enjoy the power of that, great for big modifiers.
I still haven't jumped on a remote head and I don't know why other than the stands I have handle the weight of the unit fine as is, even boomed. It seams like a good accessory to have.

That is the V860, the one with the lithium battery.
