Wow just this month alot of youtube video's are creeping up with hardcore users having issues with the X-t2. I'm not having any issues but many of them are now questioning Fuji used for professional use.

They proclaim a lot of love for their personal fuji gear but the youtube vids I watched all mention higher reliability of mirrored bodies over Fuji Mirrorless.

interesting...

These things happen from time to time in everything, I use to work for Ducati so well experienced in these issues from a manufacture point of view. Some people are having problems with the camera & some aren't. I could list all the issues I had to send cameras and lenses back to Canon and it would not be just one camera either. Others report no problems with canon.

Luckily I've only had one issue with Fuji to date and that was the rubber eyepiece falling off - well it ripped off as far as I could work out, taking it in and out of my stuffed bag, Fuji didn't really care how it happened but took the camera in and loaned me one while they fitted a new eyepiece. I know they probably won't lend out cameras normally. I do find ZedPro story funny [Sad too] as he clearly knew that the Wi-Fi could lock up his camera and he still used it in front of a client, why not just plug in your teathertools cable and remote shoot it properly.

It happens with every brand, I wouldn't sweat it.

Heck, I work in IT and can’t even count how many times I get a brand new computer part that’s dead on arrival, or performs great for a short time before crapping out on me.

The only issue I’ve had with Fuji was the XT1 bulging door issue, that was promptly fixed. When I had my Canon 5D Mark II, brand new, it had black bits of dust in the eyepiece glass. I had a 24-70 L lens, bought new (within my 30 day return window in fact) stopped auto focusing properly.

It happens.

I gave my daughter my 35 f/2 along with an X-T20, so I decided to try the Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 Mark II lens for my XT-2. This will be my only MF lens and looking forward to giving it a try. This will be my slow down and enjoy photography lens. The samples I have seen wide open look awesome.

First dude complaining about WiFi mode? He says he is pro shooting table top, the why he not shooting tethered? Who uses these wtupid WiFi modes. And why not have two XT-2 if you a working pro. He says never had issues with Canon but he too young to not know the 1dmk3 fiasco.:)

2nd dude, first fault is mushy shutter. 2nd one he says his fault. 3rd one is crappy tripod mount held with 2 screws which came loose. Surprised he doesn't have any L-bracket.

The 3rd Sardar Ji dude, his first complaint, shooting 10fps, vertically portrait mode (mind you without a grip) model came too close, he want to flip quickly to landscape and wants to keep using 10fps or whatever and camera locks. I didn't watch the whole thing

Now I am not saying these aren't issues but these aren't where camera died on the job. Full disclaimer, the ISO and shutter speed dials on my 3+ yrs old XT1 are almost dead as it seems the plastic inside has worn out. Haven't had like that happen with my other cameras. Except 1dmk2 where the lens lock pin came out once and my 500mm f4 almost fell.

when I bought the canon 24-70 2.8 mkii .. had it for 6months , took it to the carribean islands .. first day out in the hot humid weather the rubber grip around zoom ring unglued ,
glue melted , it redried but was not in proper position any more .. no big deal , still usable

BUT,, I was a bit upset about this .. I paid $2300 if I rmember correctly , as I got it within months of its original release.. and what kind of cheap ass glue were they using on a high end lens for pros who could be working and a variety of enviroments , weather sealed , dust resistant ,, but they used a toddlers arts and crafts paste?!!?!

ive been lucky I've never had any problems with anything else really .. but then again I don't think I've been able to hold on to a camera for more than a year  as Ive got some sort of gear attention disorder

I've only had my sony a7sii overheat in mexico , but I was under a blazing sun for a while .. the kind of heat and sun you shouldn't really be out in

maybe there is QC issue with Fuji.. I've been seeing more and more things pop up..
but people are more likely to be louder when they are not satisfied vs happily out there shooting videos or photos

Are any of the interchangeable Fuji bodies also using leaf shutters?

Seems nothing of these sizes due to the interchangeable lens option. Seems to only exist in larger format sensor cameras. Oh well.

Very best,

Very best,

I think the leaf shutter is in the actual lens on the x100 series so an interchangeable version would require lenses with built in leaf shutters

I could be talking nonsense though
