It sort of feels like a Norman Rockwell illustration. I don't know if you're familiar with this American artist down under.

Yes have heard of him but never really looked at his work, will have to do so now :-)

I'm pretty sure I can't post the image of a copyrighted Rockwell painting, but here's a link to one which is not typical of most of his usually lighthearted work. This one is in greyscale, painted in the middle of World War II

George Washington slept here...
He stayed in this place at Valley Forge

Washington definitely didn't sleep here, but the stone Valley Forge house in the past above reminded me of a couple of houses I captured around 2 years ago in the beautiful Cadwalader Heights neighborhood in Trenton, NJ. The houses were built early in the 20th Century. Every house in the neighborhood is unique. Taken on a very grey drizzly afternoon in a neighborhood with a significant canopy of beautiful tall trees everywhere. These are all private homes and the very proud home owners association has a periodic open house tour where you can visit many of the houses and exquisite gardens. This layout of this gorgeous neighborhood and large adjoining park was designed by famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, (Central Park, NYC, Prospect Park, Brooklyn and many other famous parks and neighborhoods all over the country). It is an enclave unfortunately surrounded by urban blight.

A few photos from McNeese's last game last Saturday.

Nothing great as it was very dark. I love to shoot a day game but we didn't have any day games this season.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.
