Made my first attempt at water drops. I'd love to see more for inspiration.
There's a few more on my FLICKR.

These are great! Something I've wanted to try but haven't gone down that road yet. I just noticed something and please don't think I'm criticizing as I think both pictures are wonderful. But, when I was scrolling down on the first photo, my screen cut off the top part of the photo (the yellow portion), and I honestly feel it improved it a bit. I feel like the whole picture makes you look from the top down and honestly, I don't make it to the bottom. With the top portion cropped off, my eyes started at the bottom and worked up and it definitely made me appreciate the effort put into the photo a bit more.

That is funny, I just got into these too, due to a POTN member that posted over on the Godox AD200 thread.

Something to try, if you have the gear, is to run 2 flashes on opposite sides with different color gels, then place a 3rd color construction paper behind the water dish. You will get a myriad of colors, without using food coloring etc. The other thing I want to try is milk, because it should capture light in a different way than water.

I think I am going to order a raspberry pi and some hardware to be able program a solenoid to drop water at various rates and sizes.

Here is a link to a couple of mine, I didn't want to post an image as to not take away from your post, but it gives you an idea of what effect the gels are supplying.
