I searched the forums and could not find a forum for speed rings since this forum is about studio lighting I guess this is a good one. Can anyone tell me where I can get a speed ring adapter to fit a Photoflex LiteDome or MultiDome Q39 softbox with a Bowens mount? I currently have an adapter for Photogenic lights but I have switched to Godox AD-360II and use the Godox S-type Bowens mount.

I have attached some sample images of the adapter I have.

This is my Photoflex to Photogenic adapter. There are 8 screws holding the plate for the Photogenic adapter. Is there such a plate for Bowens? Below is the Godox S-type bracket. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

you can measure the diameter of adapter plate (6", 5 1/2" ect) and order the Bowens replacement, or just get a whole Bowens unit..

Is this for an octa box or will it work for an octa box and a square box? I have the Photoflex Medium LiteDome and the medium multiDome Q39. They are about 24"x36".

I have the whole speedring/insert that Lotto (forgot the name, sorry) listed and it works fine as I have same photoflex 24x36. I also have just the insert to replace the AB insert on my photoflex and make it work with bowen using:

The above link show a Bowens adapter plate but it's 6" in diameter. vmad I remover the plate from my Photogentic and it measures 5" diameter. I could cut it to size and file the edge down. I like the price and I need two of them. ;-)a Thanks

Cutting that adapter to 5" could be problematic. You might cut into the raised 'step' area the screws won't hold.

I have few round and rectangle softboxs, including the Q39, they all use round speed rings with no problem.

This one also:

I have used photoflex softboxes but all had round speedrings. My 5' octa ring can be used on the rectangular softbox, no issue.

Lotto,
Can you provide me with the link where you purchased the adapter?

Thanks,
I thinks I'll get this one and if I get an octabox I would not have to purchase another one. Cool.
