Back in 2015 when my 7DII was still shiny and new I shot a fox that I was reminded of with your shot. I miss that camera... the fox... and the feeling of having everything a guy wanted in his gear.
Hoping someday to get back to that.

This was from the 2017 elk rut in the Missouri Breaks. I was using my Canon 5D MKII with the 100 to 400 lens, and then I cropped some more. This big guy was 75 or 80 yards away and the light was dimming, and I felt fortunate to get as goo an image as I did, considering all the factors and my lack of expertise.

That is a unique, creative photo of a bison. I love it. The only suggestion I could make is that you could have taken a tissue and wiped his nose and mouth, and perhaps just a touch of Murine in that eye...(Just kidding of course)
