We drove to Phoenix in January of 2014. When we woke up in Oklahoma City there was a layer of ice on the ground and we had to shuffle to the car. My wife asked if it was OK to drive and I said oh yeah, us Canadians are used to this. She didn't look too happy with all the cars and a burning semi in the ditches. When we got to Albuquerque our hotel had no hot water. Pipes froze. Next day we were supposed to go to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge and it was a complete whiteout from the snowfall.

That is not snow. This is snow and me shovelling it :-)

What was this white sh*****t in my backyard, I woke up to yesterday?? Remember, I live in southwest Louisiana about 45 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico. We don't normally see this stuff.

Now, if I could have found some compliant foxes, I could have been like Jeff. :)

The best I could do was my 10 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Lacie, who was seeing snow for only the second time in her life. But she played in the snow like she was a puppy.

Below, a crappy cell phone photo of my backyard when I got up yesterday morning. Tried to delete it but it doesn't want to go away.
