Thank you! I just feel so stepped on as a business owner sometimes..so this weird cancellation just rubbed me the wrong way. I honestly think she found someone cheaper and booked with them thinking she could just get her money back from me, but her emails say that "something" happened and now she will be out of the area indefinitely.

I sent her the contract via email, she filled it out, scanned it and emailed it to me and then sent me the money via paypal.

Personally I would refund it. You are not really out anything, just some time talking to her. You refund it with a good attitude and it shows you are an honest and legit business.
Then if she has a bad experience with a cheapest price(which she probably will) she might come to you next time and she will have a trust for you.

*PayPal Warning* Your client could do a chargeback and get the money pulled out of your bank acct. The client would most likely win the chargeback. Then you would be out the deposit + charge back fee + bad advertising + stress
