I've used several ML Yashica 50mm's... I rate them f/1.9 & f/1.7 as the best. I wasn't over impressed with the f/1.4 I had but that was an early one. The f/2 is good enough too but obviously the slower of the bunch.

I've got a few Meyer-Optik Gorlitz lenses inbound that I've found and look forward to giving them a shakedown and sharing the results here.
First one is a Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Telemegor F/5.5 150mm in exacta mount. This one is scheduled to arrive today. Ebay seller posted pics and didn't mention any problems in operation, so I took a flyer on it for 35 bucks. We'll see. It looks a little rough.
Secondly, I ordered one of the Meyer-Optik projection lenses, the Diaplan 2.8 80mm. It includes a mounting helicoid but will have to see what adaptor I will need.
Should be some neat specialty lenses if they work as expected. Didn't break the bank, which is a plus for many of these old MF lenses.

Pretty much rushed these just to see what it was like. Fading light had me hand holding at 1/13 sec at 150mm, so not the sharpest by any means.
I do see where this lens can make some interesting bokeh effects wide open (5.5!!) Anyhow......

It will take getting used to, for sure. It's an incredibly tiny lens for 150mm! You get the impression that you can just get up close to stuff and fill the frame, but the mfd is 2.5 meters! So good light is a must. Especially with my poor eyesight! The adapter I got is one of those that has an optical element in it for correcting the focal distance, but I'm not so sure it doesn't create more softness by putting another piece of glass between the lens and the sensor. I've ordered another adapter that's flatter without the glass. We'll see how that goes, but this lens is noted for its softness from what I've read. I'm more interested in the bubble-like bokeh effect more than sharpness anyway.

Better light today. Still with the same adapter with the glass corrective lens. (Fotodiox Pro exakta - EOS)

Olympus E-M1 - Voigtlander 40mm f2

Highly recommend this lens! Haven't shot any photos outside on digital with it, but I'm already in love with it! Just some random portrait test shots:
