I went to Rocky Mountain National Park today for some hiking and photography.

So far this year we haven't had much snow, at all. I thought at the higher elevations of some of the trails, that the snow would be better, but it was nearly dry at 10,000 ft. There was some snow in the shade, but the sunny parts of the trail were dry as a bone.

Snowshoes this time of year is normally a must for this area. All I needed today was crampons for the icy parts.

I took my digital camera as well as my Zone VI 4x5.

Here are a few digital shots, taken with a Fuji XT-1 and a 720nm IR filter. I still have to develop and scan in my 4x5 negatives.

Here's a couple of 4x5 Large Format film shots from the weekend hike. The film I used didn't work like it should have (it was a new box), really grainy and some of the shots didn't turn out. These two were all that I got out of the 6 I shot.

.
Thanks for sharing!

That first image is especially nice. . At what focal length did you shoot it? . Is the version you've shared here cropped at all, or is it the full image?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thanks! The first image was shot using a Samyang 12mm F2 lens on my XT-1 (APS-C size sensor). I don't usually crop my images, so this one is not cropped.

I really like the 12mm f2 lens. I just got it a couple weeks ago. It is sharp and has very little distortion. It does have a small amount of a hot spot for IR photography, but it is usually easy to take out in post processing.

Great set. I really like the B&W treatment.
