You just gotta lay down sideways on the floor in the crowd. Just kidding, I'll give away my secret. I've been shooting with the 5DsR at 50 megapixels so I shoot a little wider and then crop it in post. Thanks for noticing though...

Seen him at Merlefest a few times. An amazing performer.

I'm not impressed with much else with this camera for this use but the larger format is nice.

ISO performance looks good? How have you found that?

That's where I find it a little weak. Note the guitar players feet in #6 with all the noise. I can't shoot over 6400 and I usually stay below 4000 or it gets noisy. I'm sure I need better skills at noise reduction to get better results but I like things that are less work. I work on these to get the noise out while still retaining shadow detail which is a challenge. My 5DmKII was better at low light.

It's hard to pay almost double the price for less than half the pixels but if money's not an object I would buy one in a second.

I justified it because of the ISO and the touring I was doing at the time. I'd love to second it with the mark II but at the moment I'm more focussed on my YouTube channel...

I've heard nothing but the best about the 1Dx, I'll have one some day I'm sure of it.

Nice photos. I love shooting Sam and his band and have become quite fond of both Scott and Mojo. Super talented and greatly entertaining.
