I really like the composition. I'm not a post processing expert but did you over sharpen it a little? The reason I ask is there seem to be sort of whitish halos around the palm trees in the distance and along the foliage to the right on the diagonal up to the corner.

That caught my eye, right after I was enjoying the spectacular view you captured. I'm guessing it will be easy to fix. I think you'll end up with a very engaging photograph...one that should be printed and hung on a wall.

I don't say this lightly because very few landscape photographs seem to move me..... but yours did.

@Setagate, they both look over processed to the point that they look unnatural. If you look at the first one, it has visible halo's all over the edges of the trees in the distance (over sharpening or adjustment brush), it really hides a very nice picture.

If you wouldn't mind sharing the raw file we could have a look at it.

Here are a couple of storm shots.

I drove through this storm and saw the image in my rear view mirror and just had to stop to take a quick shot before it caught up with me again.

Flying home from Portland, Oregon via Iceland meant there was a good chance of seeing Aurora Borealis through the plane window. This was the first time I had ever witnessed the Northern Lights, so I was extremely happy to capture it at 38,000 feet.

Thanks! There was a full moon, which made it a little challenging to shoot but it did illumate the clouds and wing nicely.
