You can really see the detail more in the ID version.
How you finding the 100-400?

I wasn't sold on the 100-400 until I started processing with Iridient. I'm used to telephoto lenses from Canon being so sharp and resolving a ton of detail on my usual subjects (wildlife), so seeing the smeared detail I at first thought the lens was just a bit soft. Often the eyes of a bear would seem a hair out of focus too, despite knowing I nailed the focus. As soon as I saw the difference between software I realized that the lens is not an issue at all!

I have a few gripes with the 100-400. Coming from shooting Canon L glass for years, the build is a bit on the cheap side - a fair bit of plastic compared to the equivalent 100-400 from Canon (both versions), and the plastic that is used doesn't feel like the same ultra high quality engineering plastic used by Canon in their lenses. It doesn't inspire confidence quite the same way. Another is that you can see the difference between a company that has a very mature product (100-400 II is the result of decades of engineering and refinement of various telephoto zooms) whereas you can tell the Fuji is a first generation product - focus is quick but not as quick as it could be and isn't as silently snappy as Canon USM, OIS makes some odd sounds from time to time, and I struggle a bit with the placement of the switches and of the zoom & focus rings. And for a lens like that, manual focus by wire is a pain, you have to spin the focus ring around and around and around to get anywhere, there's no quickly helping out the AF by prefocusing as the action unfolds. But it's the only option and I've gotten some fantastic images with it, so until Fuji makes something better...I was really hoping their new telephoto prime was going to be a 300 f/2.8, to allow me to reach 600 f/5.6 with the 2x extender, but looks like it's just 200 f/2 for now.

Hi Everybody,
Been looking at all the options for Fuji Raw.
I don't have Lightroom. Never used it and I'm cheap, so I have no idea of how good it is.
I was impressed with Capture One, but expensive.

I went to On 1 to try there program.
I found they have there Holiday Bundle for $79.
I used the 20% coupon and got the Program for $64.
I can say after one day of using this software it is powerful.
For a Hobbyist, this adds a whole lot of fun to photography.
I hope this helps someone'
Merry Christmas Everybody

Yes there was talk of a 300/2.8 or a 400/4 but I guess they decided on the 200/2 and the teleconverters to up the length so 200/2+2XTC=400/4. I've been tempted to rent the 100-400 for a week but really never shoot the kind of things that you might use the lens for so thanks for the words on that.

$64 is a good deal on that 1/2 the price of Lightroom and probably will get updated too unlike the stand alone version of Lightroom from 2018 on :(

Still looking forward to the X-PRO2 being able to use Fuji's new converter as nothing will make the files shine as well, at least that is my hope...

Saw an opportunity to expose for the windows/highlights and lift the rest. Pushed shadows maximum.

Using ON1 RAW from a Fuji X-T1:

I've been playing around with On1 Photo RAW 2018 the last couple days with the trial. More than enough flexibility in editing for my purposes. They have a 30 day trial and right now they have the full version for $100. ...............

Interesting clips - even for non-Fuji owners. Thanks for posting
