Meanwhile in Socal. . . . .
We're enjoying the tidal swings of the full moon, which brings really high and exceptionally low tides. Low tide today was almost -2ft. Usually it's 2ft. That's a sizeable difference. Suddenly the beach was as busy as Disneyland. High tides in the mornings are over 6 ft, unfortunately there are no waves to speak of.

Same location, high tide and low tide on the same day.

This picturesque waterfall is located in a hidden canyon and requires getting wet and hiking up the stream to get to it. The effort is worth it as the location has a magical feel to it. It somewhat reminded me of artwork in the 70's magazine "Heavy Metal".
