Going to post a few sets from the Outback Bowl.

The weather wasn't great, and the football was sloppy, but going to a Bowl game is usually a lot of fun win or lose.

I followed the baton.

That FE 85 looks really good!

easily a notch ahead of the FE 50, much faster and sharper, but I dont use it a ton due to the size and weight

That said, the light was simply so amazing, like continuous strobes

That's what we have as well. I've been able to get some good shots with a 70-200 and the a6500.

and some vanilla shots, capturing micro expressions much easier with 10 on tap. She wouldnt sit for a single bit, the second shot, I laid her down, and ran back for a shot.......

anyhow, really happy with the marine layer lingering a bit in the morning, softening the light just a bit.

i need to sell my 85GM to get this one instead. The size, quietness and AF speed is amazing. great shots bro.

One from this afternoons hike to see the sea caves in La Jolla. A kid near us found an Abalone shell that was a solid foot across, meanwhile my kids were more interested in finding rocks that looked like purple potatoes. I thought I was just getting tired at the end of the hike, when in reality my daughters had been secretly stashing 8lbs of rocks in my pack as I was walking.

What the hay, one more before bed. The colors on this come from my Singh Ray Gold and Blue polarizer. I don't use it often because it requires a lot of post work, but you can get some serious color with it when you want to.

looks like A9 & A7RIII are having eye-af with Sigma MC-11 + Canon Lens.
Can you test on your gears.
Mine A7II + MC-11 + Canon lens on AF-s says 'lens not supported'
Either this is newer body (A9, A7RIII) oportunity, either I'm doing something wrong

You can do it on the a7rii too I believe but the newer a9 and a7riii are better at it. I’m not sure about a7ii but you need to be in af-c for eye-af

af-c for eye-af is only available starting from A7R2, not for A72 even with native glass

So wanted to find out - saw Many Ortiz video about A7RIII + MC-11 + Canon 200mm f/2.0, eye-af working there, coments says it is working also for some with A9

Yes and works with a7rii too just not as well

MC-11 + Sigma new lenses = eye AF with AF-S for the A7ii
MC-11 + Canon lenses = no eye AF at all for the A7ii

A9/A7riii = Eye AF in AF-C with all electronic adapters except for the LA-EA4 I think.

The cropping ability of the 42MP sensor is pretty amazing, and I could shoot any spot on the field from the 50 yard-line from the third row of the upper-deck.

Shooting from the sideline is ideal, of course, and maybe one of these years I'll get press passes for my father and I for one of these so we can shoot together down there. But what a luxury it is to have your own seat, have refreshments and easy access to bathrooms
