Hello,

I bought a kit three flash studio GODOX sk400ii with the trigger XT-16.

Sometimes when I'm almost at the maximum sync speed of my camera, the sync is not perfect (I have a black band at the bottom of the image)

I use a canon 6D and the maximum sync speed is 1/180.
But at 1/180 it does not work with the XT-16 (black band). at 1/160 it works almost all the time but sometimes there are black bands. at 1/125 I never had a problem.

I did tests with a canon 600d and it works all the time at 1/160, because the maximum synchronization speed of this model is 1/200.

I conclude that the XT16, or the receiver built into the SK400ii is not always very accurate and this is visible when approaching the maximum speed of sync cameras.

Have you ever seen this problem?

Do you have any ideas to solve the problem?
Sorry for my bad English, I speak French.

Thank you for your help,

Is it rounding your 1/180s to 1/200s basically?

Very best,

I don't have a XT-16, but have tested other triggers with the SK400 II with my 5D classic, which has a max sync speed of 1/200.

To get clean images at sync speed:

Xpro and YN622C @ 1/200
X1T @ 1/160
Other single pin manual triggers, sometimes at 1/160, but play safe @ 1/125.

With the X1 triggers, the SK400 II can be used in hyper sync speed, with some gradient. The X1T has a custom function to control the delay.

Here's a sample shot with the SK II at 1/2 power, Xpro trigger with HSS turn on.

Hello

Thanks a lot for your answers.
The rendering of the photo is very good. When reading your tests, I conclude that the XT16 should not be constant.
If I buy the Xpro shutter everything should work fine, is that it?
I hesitate with the X1 but the Xpro seems more complete.

Thank you very much your answer really helped me
Alexandre
