I returned on Saturday from four days in Havana. I had a great time, learned a lot and took thousands of photos.
I'm going to post photos and an essay in a couple days when I'm ready.
I'll explain how I planned, what the logistics were, how well (and how not-so-well) my plans worked, and some do's and don'ts from my perspective.
My biggest mistake is still with me: I ate and/or drank something wrong. On my travel day home I was sick, and that sickness, while much better, is still coming back here and there as each day goes by.
Overall, it was a successful trip and extremely educational and adventurous. I kept it real (no hotels, no tours... just out among the locals in different parts of the cities).
