A 27 inch is going to be a great choice for photo editing ,,a match set is even better,,if space and budget allow. 4K is a hit from what photo editor on here say . Have not decided yet but a 4K could well be in the near term for me also.

I think I thought I thunk,,just before I made a stunk !

I have the 2715Q. Great for photo editing. The OSs (I run Win 7 and Ubuntu Linux) have a few small issues with 4k. The photos never looked so sharp. Go the extra step to have it calibrated. I have a daytime and a night time profile.

I really love my UP2715K monitor, which is the now discontinued 5K display. I love it, it's much nicer than the 2560×1440 displays that I have used. So my vote would go for the 4K display.

Seconding this monitor I have two of them and they've been really good, I also use them for gaming and they work well for that too. If you can get them used on Amazon for under $400 they great deals.

P2715Q User here. An astonishing piece of kit. Colour balance was bang-on when checked (and as stated in the calibration certificate that the monitor came with) and flicker-free with wide viewing angles, my eye strain from long editing sessions has gone. Sharpness and picture refinement also as you'd expect of a true 4K monitor from a reputable vendor. Worth every penny of £500.
