there are many places you can get good night shots - you need to get one of the local Red Rock Maps - most of the easy trails can be done at night - I would suggest doing a dry run during the day so you are familiar with the terrain - have a good head lamp - you can not do Cathedral Rock from the Cresent Moon Ranch as it closes before dark but you can access it from another road that comes in from the south - Verde Valley School Road - remember to have your National Park Pass or the Red Rock pass - there is a location called the Secret Trail in Which you can drive to the trail head and hike out classic shot of Cathedral rock - another trail is BackO'Beyond - all of these can be done at night - remember you are in the desert and there are critters - and if you are going soon rattle snakes are still out - just have a good flash light and head lamp - My husband and I have done all of these there are others to - I have never been uncomfortable - but again check them out in the day time - you can google these trails for info too

How was your trip?

I work for Nissan, our test track east of Phoenix, so I've been to Sedona lots of time for fun and other.
Beautiful area, you can also get great views simply by the airport overlook .... rocks in distance, city scape below you.

Top of the 2 panoramas is the overlook view, the bottom one is me MTB riding with the locals on a weekend group ride.
I'm wearing the glasses and the Pearl Izumi jacket.

All the access trails spoken about are outlined in this book ... I've rode all of them
