Caught this guy storing up on huckleberries for the winter in Grand Teton earlier this month.

Whoh! Up close and personal with one of nature's apex predators. How close were you the bear (better yet- which lens allowed you to safely take this photo)?

It's a cinnamon black bear, not a grizzly. I took the shots from my vehicle.

Great pics, but those aren't huckleberries they're service berries.

I love huckleberries: pie, ice cream, etc... I love bears... I prefer more distance from the bears than the huckleberries.

I am not a qualified photo critic by any means, but I like those pictures a great deal. I like the choice of aperture that showed sharp focus on the face and a little less sharpness on the body. I love to photograph bears, but have never gotten any pictures of a cinnamon, and this looked like an adult of good size.
I like the second photo, the one with the leaf in the bears left eye. Lots of originality there. Thanks for posting.
