CHALLENGE #674 - TIME

I can hear the groans already! Actually the topic this week is not as difficult as it appears. The obvious choices are clocks, watches, sundials etc, but I want you to to extend your thoughts to "Time for ......." as well. So, let your imaginations run riot

Post until Monday noon GMT, 29 January 2018.

Please note that I have altered the format of this start-up post. Everything that needs to be changed for the next thread is now in the QUOTE box at the top. I tried to enlarge the font but that trick evaded me. Perhaps font size does not work inside a QUOTE.

Remember, if you post a photo, you may be the winner. Be prepared to host and judge a new challenge.

To submit, click the button labeled 'POST TO THREAD' and put your Photo Title in the first line of the post, above your photo.
Don't forget your Camera Model.

    -

Ah, the place where the typesetter had to mind his Ps and Qs! This shot reminds me of a preserved and working press in the Scottish Borders. B&W was an excellent choice for this subject

He he :-) It's not often we get humour in this thread. What a contrast with the still life shots which come later, It really shows off the versatility of the G series.

I was hoping there would be a timepiece so plus points for that. I would have liked a bit more contrast between subject and background though.

I don't do much still life but this one really shows how well a G-Canon handles close-to-camera shots. Excellent saturated colours and detail - and there is a timepiece in there too :-)

An excellent title for this second macro - but not really enough in the frame. Spot-on exposure though.

The winner this week is Corythosaurus and the runner up is JimAskew

Congrats to Cory & Jim! I also liked Teekay's take on the theme. My shot was a dinner cruise off of Kona, Hawaii where the MaiTais flowed freely & my nephew lost all inhibitions. Lots of fun was had by all.
Thanks for the challenge this week, Martin.:-)

Congratulations to Cory and thanks for the 2nd place, Martin. :-)

This a fun challenge and I loved how everyone interpreted it. As the entries show time can mean many things. :-P
