And today it seems that someone nearby has a new flag. You can still see the fold lines.

My right arm has a wee bit of red. The sweet old cat you saw last week bit me yesterday. But nobody wants to see that.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS FOR YOU: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa, more so (2 wds.) | IMAGE EDITING OK

I found this wee red quilting pin on the floor under a chair today. I strongly suspect our cat Fluffy was involved with it getting there.:-)

Those of us with cats certainly understand how this happen. You never know what you will
find hiding around the house.
Great shot Terry.

Great reds folks.

...And after this shot, my 7D2 bricked. Won't focus :-(
I'll be sitting with my manual and setting up my preferences today.
I've removed all batteries, reset all my custom functions.. UGH!!
Hopefully it's just user error

My red glasses on a book that also fits the theme. It's by Turkish writer Orhan Pamuk and it's called Ik Heet Karmozijn. That would be My Name is Crimson in English but they changed that in My Name is Red. Anyway, it's a great book from a great writer. Nobel prize winner and one of my favourite writers.

I tried this all sorts of ways and decided I like this tight close-up best.

EDIT: I thought I would include the book too; after all the title does fit the theme perfectly.

Sorry about the camera, Joayne. Are you unable to auto focus with any of your lenses? Hopefully it is just user error.

nice drop of red! (that gives me an idea that I might follow up tomorrow... )

did the focusing give up after a lens-change? could be worth cleaning the contacts on both camera & lens, also check if any of the contacts are stuck "in"
either way, hope it gets sorted...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", 1D MK II converted for IR, and now an M5

Well that's not good! Hopefully it's just a matter of cleaning/checking the contacts, like Joeseph suggested. Crossing fingers!
