Shot with the X-T1 and 18/2. The 18mm doesn't seem to get a lot of love, but it's my go-to lens when I travel.

Seriously, the original XF trilogy was a homerun from Fuji, I love all 3 of those lenses.

A couple shots from Christmas morning, 1st one with the Samyang 21mm f1.4, second from the 7artisans 25mm f1.8 (which I got as a gift just after taking the first shot  )

I've decided I'm definitely going to sell the Samyang 21mm. It's a great lens, but I use the focal length so little that I'm better off just keeping the 7artisans for that spot.

I’ve never used the 60macro, I really love the looks out of the 18/2 and the 35/1.4. Quite magical at times.

Speaking of the 18 f2......seems the one I ordered is now sitting in a locker at the post office. I had it shipped to my parents house but my parents are now in New Orleans and put a hold on their mail till March 1st. I was so looking forward to trying out the 18. Hopefully the post office will let me get it Monday, if not looks like I get to wait another month

I had just taken this picture in a large Cleveland mall when a Security lady came up to me and said: "You cannot take pictures here with THAT kind of camera".
I showed her my little X-T20 with 35mm 1.4.. AT which she said... "ohh.. That is ok.":-D

Sunday afternoon walk with the family around Donadea Forest park. A great spot & not to far from where I live. It only rained once we got back to the car too, good times.

Back to my X-Pro after a few months without giving it much use ... even this hasn't been fair as I've taken it out when I haven't had much time or am not really focussed on photography but with the 27mm lens it's so small that it can come out to play on occasions when I just wouldn't bother with even my small DSLR setup ...

Waiting for a friend at the train station ...

Yes one second on the shutter with F4 and ISO800. Even at 1/60 the shot would probably still have a little motion blur and would need 51200ISO!
May as well embrace the movement then...

Looks like someone is having fun with the wide angle.

(First World) Question for recommendations ... I'm not 100% sure because I feel like I've never given the 27mm a fair chance, but for some reason I don't like this focal length on my X-Pro whereas I really do like 40mm on my Canon 5D. The other week I realised that the idea of buying more kit for my Canon just didn't appeal because it's always bigger and heavier so I'm trying to love my Fuji more. Next month I'll be going to Poland for a few days which I'm really excited about but I'm not sure whether to pick up a 23mm f/2 before I go. I have a Canon 50mm f/1.4 I rarely use and would be plenty willing to let go of to partially fund it.

My first response is, why not?

Lenses are, ultimately, a personal choice and we have little to go on from your question. The fact that you like the 40 and don't like the equivelent lens on the Fuji makes it more challenging because that implies it isn't about angle of view.

For travel, in my experience, wider is generally more useful. I like the 35/1.4 because I can use it in low light and for headshots and it is surprisingly light and compact but find I get more use from a wider lens. I prefer the 18/2 or the 16/1.4. The 23 is too close to the 35 to be useful for me as a second lens (not an issue for you) and the 23 often seems not quite wide enough.

The 18/2 has the significant advantage that it is quite small (almost as small as the 27), renders beautifully and is still pretty easy to use with people. Any wider and you need to know what you are doing if there are people in the image.

The 16/1.4 is a good bit bigger. It also requires a bit more attention if people are in the image to avoid unflattering perspectives. The 16 is also fast, can do things few other lenses can do and is, arguably, Fuji's best lens so far.

I have been very happy with the 16, but I must admit the 18 gets a lot more use since I got it because it is so handy and compact.

C&C always welcomed...
On my images, of course, and on my words as well--as long as it's constructive :).
