I tried something a little different yesterday and took some action shots from about 30 feet up while the local high school tennis team was practicing yesterday. I was trying to focus on getting pictures of one player and his shadow mid swing... I just wish it was less cloudy, the shadow would've popped a lot more, but overall i'm happy with it. Any C&C is welcome!

Bryan,

I appreciate the creative effort. Not enough of that around here. As you mentioned, a starker shadow would have helped. The red, white, and black uniform was ideal against the colors of the court. I love the angles. It would be worth another attempt on a brighter day.

Thanks for the feedback, I agree that another attempt would be well worth it!

This is a neat perspective worth working more, especially when the light gives more contrast.

Have you tried adjusting the shadow in post? In LR you can use an adjustment brush to brush over just the shadow and then pull down Shadows.
