Thanks to those who entered. I have baby hummingbirds who just burst out of their eggs this weekend & no Pro 1 to photograph them with....alas.
Here are the winners:
1st: Teekay. I love the simplicity of the shot that comes with the anticipation of blooming soon
2nd: Martin. Just lovely & I was hoping for sunbeams of some sort.
3rd: now I never say a tie but really, both shots are so similar & the colors beautiful that I have no choice but to give an equal kudo to both Mark & Jim
.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

Thanks Maureen, but really didn't expect to win this week in view of the other good shots. I only entered my simple close-up having failed to find anything bursting into life around here as we wait for some spring sunshine. Looked for inspiration on Google for "bursting out" images but only found shots of extremely well endowed young ladies and I hadn't seen any like that walking around in the rain here this week either.:-(

I'll try and get a new challenge up later today.

Kudos to teekay. I loved that shot as soon as I saw it. Again with the blacked out background. Perfect.

Awesome sunset shot, Martin. Nicely done.

I guess we're the flower boys, Jim. All show and no go. ;-)a:cry:

Congratulations to all. Great entries and proof that spring will get here soon! Now if only it would warm up! I had to wear gloves, a scarf, and coat on my daily walk today :-(
