Hmmmmm. . These two statements seem to be somewhat contradictory.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

I hate it when someone quotes a post from someone I've set to ignore and I have to read it.

...and everyone named Bob. Because, what about Bob?

(That's my brother BTW)

I'm pretty good at peeves but have only one current pet hate. It's for that . . . .

How political are we allowed to be in the lounge?

Not very, I’ve had a post or two deleted by mods, and been reminded of the rules!

Ignorant people.

Today I wrote a shoot proposal to a model. It was detailed, had everything in it - theme, story, location, time, outfits, responsibilities - and this one sentence: "Also, please let me know what your fee would be."

Her response? "Thank you for your message but I'm doing only paid assignments."

I thanked her for declining as it was probably right. I then pointed out that she missed at least one detail, the aforementioned question about her fee, and quoted it for her.

Here's my pet hate and it's photography related.

I attend around 7 or 8 air shows per year. These are large events that can attract 10,000 or more spectators.
I'll be standing by myself shooting with my big 300 f2.8 lens. Then some one will stand right next to me at
arms length apart. Some times it's a group of people. They get in the way of my panning. Or a family will
stand in front of me. It never fails to happen. Of course I have to move and find another spot.

And then there is the guy who wants to discuss my camera gear while I'm shooting.
Wow, that's a big lens. How heavy is it? What power is it? Can you get those little planes way up there?
My cousin has this great big Nikon lens and it...jabber...jabber...jabber.

And, probably worst of all, the turds that park in a handicapped zone and have a permit, yet they hop out of their car and prance right into the store without a hitch. vmad

I couldn't tell you how much I agree with you on this one.
