Children's science show at the local Air & Space museum- 10 FPS, lighting was lousy. A professor from the university was demonstrating rocket fuel (alcohol and and oxygen )

A photography friend of mine always talks about how my 7DII is basically wildlife and sport only and wonders why I choose to take it over my 5DIII when Im unsure of what Im going to be photographing, I keep telling her that in some ways its more versatile than my full frame. These couple of shots look fine to me :-D

I love my 7D2, especially wearing the 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II lens. However I have recently added a battery grip to that combination and it appears to balance better.

I got quite tired following these very fast model airplanes...

and I realized that I did not get as tired using the lens with my 6D2 which is gripped so, I purchased a Canon grip for the 7D2 and love using that combination with the long and relatively heavy 100-400 Mk.ii:-D The extra weight seems to help the balance...

That is a fun looking shot and that is a nice lens. Sharp. I can't believe there is some prop blur at 1/2000. Those little engines sure have high RPM. Two things I'm concentrating on is prop blur and panning. Next time try 1/1000 or 1/500.

I find the grip rather awkward [and even painful] in portrait orientation...

Went to the lake to shoot birds, but ended up getting shots of the grandson chasing the pigeons.

Hey wait. The 7D Mark II is a sports and wildlife camera ONLY, right? You can't use it for landscapes, especially with a EFs lens and expect to get anything decent, correct?. Yeah, right. ;-)a Excellent shots which make it clear that the 7D Mark II can be very effectively used for landscapes. Its mostly about the shooter anyway, not the gear.

1/400th is really too fast for good prop blur.
I have been having a lot of neck and back issues lately so I have been using higher shutter speeds than I want, due to pain I was only able to take a few photos at the last airshow I went to, I never tried lower than 1/250th of a sec., In this case it was way too fast still.

This one has a little more blur a 1/250th.

That is true. I guess it depends on the rotation speed at the time of the shot. I had read 1/320 but like you I have had to go to 1/160 but it gets a little shaky for me even with IS.

Messing around in the backyard taking some shots of some backyard critters with my 100-400 F/4.5-5.6II + 1.4 III extender. My backyard is not as good as Jeff's. ;)
