Lightbulb POTN G-series Speed Challenge # 100 ..stuff @ the post offices

thank you very much for your entries and sincere congratulations to all of you
the shots are lovely and suit the theme really well

this shot especially caught more then my eye. I think my heart too.
I wrote to many when I was younger and the envelopes looked very similiar.
airmail a lot of family and friends were abroad at the time and the letter writing went to and fro. from the age of about 12 or 14 I think
many of them (the letters) saved in cardboard boxes which I still have today

in the picture the envelopes spread out like it is beautiful, showing the old and also the new way of 'keeping in touch'
a lovely idea and makes for a poignant photograph with much thought regarding all.

the stamps and the writing are very special and in the picture you took they sum up a lot very very nicely
congratulations

# 2 Boutty

another shot I loved and very nicely fits the theme ...as they all do
pillar boxes are sometimes neglected. this is a beautiful one
with the child there it really adds a lovely touch. and a really nice thought

showing a little more of her legs below and the top of the picture cropped ever so slightly would help the overall look
but not to worry

thank you

thank you for showing and entering this photo. the lady is lovely . very pleasant looking
the post people have a very tough task and are sometimes taken so much for granted
but today its unbelievable how much rubbish ( firms selling things) which they are given to post alongside the important stuff, which sometimes means they have to go to almost every single dwelling

and then there are the dogs ::::
some are just left outside and end up barking mad at the postman.
its disgraceful what they have to put up with
am delighted with your picture to give them a salute and a thank you for their service

hope you don't mind me saying as it was a casual shot taken while she was delivering the post........ the tree trunk behind would be best left out of any future pictures of her

many thanks Rafael Boutty and Frank

End of challenge # 100

*************************************************
please submit pictures of anything to do with the Post Offices in your area
pillar boxes, sacks of letters, queues out or inside
anything to do with the busy atmosphere if possible

or, if problems taking shots like it bother you..... anything to do with Post Office dealings at home , like letter writing, bill paying etc.
you'll all have your own ideas

composition and clear detail will be taken into account....and stamped on with eagerness

thank you
