A lot of you POTNers have custom titles. Most of those have been given to you by the title fairy based on what you said in a given context. Sometimes, what you said has been slightly altered. Out of context, most titles look awkward or funny.

As I write this, I have been spared (so far, I guess).

So here's what I propose: In this thread, you can rebuild part of your self-image and esteem: you can post to explain how you got your current title and you can also link to the thread where you lost your title virginity.

For those of you who received many titles throughout your POTNer life, you may explain all of them, some of them, but at least, your current title. For some of you, writing a book may be more appropriate, given how many titles you received. You know who you are!

My title is simple. I started the Lens archive. Others haven't been so lucky.:)

:lol: This is a great Idea for a thread!

Figuring who got bit, where and when is pretty much impossible now.. with this thread only the actual individual need recall how it happened! :)

For a while I was something like "Graf Heg Von Waxwing" as so named by Petkal..

This thread was the first time he called me that;
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=228357
He makes "official" in this thread;
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=229404
I was "bit" shortly there after.. but duty called and I'm back to normal Mod status

I can't recall the thread where he called me that.

Care to share what it actually means? I remember reading a thread where people were discussing what it could mean, but I can't remember the final conclusion!

I just noticed Liza got bit in that same thread;
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=229404

"Graf" is like "Duke" in German.. so an honorarium..
Hegnauer is my last name, the "er" means "from" so does "Von".. so it really should have read "Von Hegnau"

The Waxwing is simply because of my avatar.

In a nutshell. Petkal assumed that Hegnauer was German, and made me this grand title..
In actuality, Hegnau is in Switzerland, where my Family is from, thus we are Hegnauers all.

Most everyone knows about mine.

As most know, the Canon 24-70 2.8L is commonly referred to as "The Brick". Well, I've sold 12 of those here. In light of that, I received the name "Prodigal "Brick" Layer". There was no thread that gave it to me...I just came around one day and there it was.

The million dollar question is : and you were selling 12 of those... why? (I kid, you don't have to answer that ;))

Here is the thread I got my title change
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=281390
It wasnt until page 4 that I noticed it.

Prexacly (a hybrid word of precisely and exactly) has to be said with enthusiasm. Much like the Guiness Beer commercials..."BRILLIANT!!!"

So when some makes a good point you yell PREXACLY!!!!!!

Pronounced pree-zack-lee but pro-zack-lee is close enough:p

I have no idea how I've suffered the ignominity of title changes.

I'm nothing if not a good upstanding forumer who should be treated as cream of the crap by now.
